Elaine Kirui has been called to serve people as a teacher.  The next season of her life takes her to Kenya as a secondary teacher in an international high school.  There she works with students and families from around the world, using north American curriculum to plant seeds of the Gospel.  She also helps create space for an emerging African Pedagogy and to encourage the development of communities.

Elaine is originally from central Arkansas.  This is where her parents, older brother and his family still live.

Elaine likes adventure, yoga, reading, teaching, hiking, philosophy, dancing, singing, performing, and trying new red wines (though this is currently on hold as she prepares for the birth of her first child!)
